Rhude is one of America's most recognizable contemporary fashion labels, renowned for its luxury streetwear, vintage Americana, motorsport references, and distinctly Los Angeles approach to modern menswear. Founded in 2015 by Rhuigi Villaseñor, the label emerged from Los Angeles by combining streetwear elements with luxury techniques and increasingly sophisticated ready-to-wear.

Known for combining American iconography, nostalgic graphics, relaxed tailoring, racing culture, vintage treatments, and premium materials, Rhude uses fashion as a reflection of Villaseñor's personal journey and his interpretation of American culture. The designer's Filipino heritage and experience growing up in Los Angeles also inform the narratives behind the collections.

Today, Rhude spans ready-to-wear, denim, tailoring, outerwear, footwear, jewelry, and accessories, balancing recognizable streetwear codes with an increasingly refined luxury vocabulary. Current collections include Core Classics, 90s Denim, Pack Denim, Rhudeboy, footwear, and jewelry, demonstrating how far the label has expanded beyond its graphic origins.

Rhude History & Heritage

Rhuigi Villaseñor founded Rhude in 2015 in Los Angeles. Without formal fashion-design training, Villaseñor developed his understanding of clothing and construction partly through his mother, who was a tailor, while also studying art history and gaining experience as an intern and understudy to designer Shaun Samson.

From its beginnings, Rhude was conceived from a narrative perspective. Villaseñor used American iconography, Los Angeles culture, nostalgia, and his own immigrant experience as recurring themes, creating clothing that blended streetwear familiarity with increasingly sophisticated construction.

Key Milestones:
2015: Rhuigi Villaseñor establishes Rhude in Los Angeles, combining luxury techniques with streetwear elements.
Late 2010s: Rhude develops international recognition through graphic T-shirts, bandana motifs, Traxedo pants, outerwear, and increasingly sophisticated ready-to-wear.
2019: Rhude presents its Spring/Summer 2020 collection during Paris Men's Fashion Week, marking an important stage in its transition toward an international luxury fashion label.
2020s: The house expands beyond its early streetwear signatures into tailoring, footwear, denim, jewelry, and broader lifestyle categories.
2025: Rhude develops its FW25 “RHUDEBOY” collection, reinforcing the personal storytelling that has characterized Villaseñor's approach since the brand's beginnings.
2026: Rhude's current collection universe includes Pack Denim, 90s Denim, Core Classics, footwear, accessories, jewelry, and collaborative projects, continuing its evolution into a broader luxury lifestyle label.

Rhude continues demonstrating how Los Angeles culture, immigrant identity, streetwear, Americana, and luxury craftsmanship can be combined into a distinctive contemporary fashion language.

“Rhude turns Los Angeles culture into modern luxury, blending Americana, motorsport, streetwear, and refined tailoring with Rhuigi Villaseñor’s personal vision.”

Rhude in the News

Why Rhude Matters Today

Rhude matters because it represents a generation of designers that helped blur the boundaries between American streetwear and contemporary luxury.

Its influence can be seen across:
• American Luxury
• Luxury Streetwear
• Motorsport-Inspired Fashion
• Contemporary Menswear

By combining Los Angeles culture, vintage Americana, motorsport, streetwear, tailoring, and personal storytelling, Rhude offers a distinctly American alternative to traditional European luxury. Villaseñor's narrative-driven approach gives the label an identity rooted as much in cultural experience as in individual products.
