Founded in 1967 by Pino Rabolini in Milan, Pomellato revolutionized the jewellery industry by introducing the concept of prêt-à-porter jewellery—pieces designed to be worn daily rather than reserved for special occasions.

Known for combining bold coloured gemstones, sculptural goldsmithing, and relaxed Italian elegance, Pomellato has created iconic collections including Nudo, Pom Pom Dot, Pomellato Together, Sabbia, Iconica, and Catene. Its signature designs celebrate individuality through unconventional stone cuts, tactile gold settings, and vibrant colour combinations that have become instantly recognizable across the luxury jewellery world.

Today, Pomellato is part of Kering, with Sabina Belli serving as CEO and Vincenzo Castaldo as Creative Director, continuing to redefine modern fine jewellery through Italian craftsmanship and fearless creativity.

Pomellato History & Heritage

Pomellato was founded in 1967 by Pino Rabolini, whose family had deep roots in the goldsmithing industry. Inspired by Milan's fashion culture, Rabolini envisioned jewellery that women could wear as naturally as clothing—bold, colourful, and expressive rather than formal status symbols. This philosophy introduced the concept of luxury ready-to-wear jewellery, transforming the industry.

During the 1990s, Pomellato became a pioneer in using colourful gemstones in contemporary jewellery while also developing signature gold chains and sculptural silhouettes. Since joining Kering in 2013, the maison has continued expanding internationally while maintaining its distinctly Milanese identity through innovative collections and exceptional craftsmanship.

Key milestones:
• 1967: Pino Rabolini establishes Pomellato in Milan.
• 1995: Launch of sister brand DoDo.
• 2001: Introduction of the iconic Nudo Collection.
• 2004: Vincenzo Castaldo becomes Creative Director.
• 2013: Pomellato joins Kering.
• 2025: Introduction of the Pom Pom Dot collection inspired by the maison's historic 1974 button motif.
• 2026: Pomellato unveils Stile Libero, a 65-piece High Jewellery collection celebrating creative freedom through Visionary Colors, Magnetic Gold, and Hypnotic Shadows, while expanding Nudo, Pom Pom Dot, and Pomellato Together.

Pomellato continues redefining fine jewellery by combining Italian craftsmanship with bold colour, modern femininity, and everyday wearability.

“Pomellato brought colour and spontaneity to fine jewellery. Its strength lies in creating vibrant, wearable pieces that celebrate individuality while showcasing exceptional Italian goldsmithing.”
