Casablanca is one of France's most distinctive contemporary luxury fashion houses, renowned for its silk shirts, vibrant prints, tennis-inspired sportswear, and glamorous interpretation of leisure. Founded in 2018 by Charaf Tajer, the Parisian label combines the designer's French-Moroccan heritage with an optimistic vision of travel, hospitality, sport, and refined living.

Known for combining luxury and leisurewear, Neapolitan tailoring, Mediterranean color, tennis references, intricate prints, and relaxed silhouettes, Casablanca describes its aesthetic as a modern interpretation of timeless après-sport style. Crisp whites, terracotta tones, pastels, rich greens, and expressive prints create a world that evokes private clubs, resort hotels, and warm Mediterranean destinations.

Originally established as menswear, Casablanca introduced its first women's collection for Autumn/Winter 2021–22. Today, the house spans menswear, womenswear, knitwear, tailoring, footwear, bags, accessories, and lifestyle pieces while maintaining its distinctive balance between comfort, elegance, sport, and escapism.

Casablanca History & Heritage

Charaf Tajer, a Paris-born designer of Moroccan descent, established Casablanca in 2018. Before launching the label, Tajer had experience across Parisian creative culture, including involvement with Pigalle and projects connected with Off-White, while developing his perspective as a self-taught designer and creative director.

Casablanca was conceived around an optimistic interpretation of luxury. Rather than focusing on conventional formalwear or streetwear, Tajer explored the period after sport but before evening, creating a wardrobe where tennis clothing, tailoring, resort wear, and sophisticated leisure could coexist.

Key Milestones:
2018: Charaf Tajer establishes Casablanca as a menswear label combining elegance, comfort, and his French-Moroccan heritage.
2019–2020: Casablanca rapidly expands internationally, gaining significant wholesale distribution and recognition for its silk shirts, knitwear, and colorful interpretation of luxury leisurewear.
2020: Casablanca becomes a finalist for the LVMH Prize, with Tajer ultimately sharing the prize fund with the other finalists following the competition's disruption that year.
2021: Casablanca introduces its first womenswear collection for Autumn/Winter 2021–22, expanding the house beyond its original menswear foundation.
2020s: The brand expands across tailoring, womenswear, footwear, accessories, collaborations, international retail, and increasingly ambitious runway presentations.
2026: Casablanca develops its current universe through Spring/Summer 2026 and Resort 2026, continuing to reinterpret sport, nightlife, travel, and leisure through its distinctive luxury vocabulary.

Casablanca continues demonstrating how sport, travel, tailoring, hospitality, and cultural heritage can create a luxurious fashion universe centered on pleasure and optimism.

“Casablanca turns leisure into modern luxury, blending French-Moroccan heritage, tennis culture, vibrant prints, and relaxed tailoring with joyful sophistication.”

Why Casablanca Matters Today

Casablanca matters because it helped establish luxury leisurewear as something more expressive, glamorous, and culturally rich than conventional sportswear.

Its influence can be seen across:
• Luxury Resort Wear
• Tennis-Inspired Fashion
• Contemporary Menswear
• Mediterranean Luxury

By combining French-Moroccan heritage, tennis culture, Neapolitan tailoring, elaborate prints, vibrant color, and an idealized vision of travel, Casablanca has developed an immediately recognizable alternative to minimalist contemporary luxury. Its optimistic worldview also distinguishes the house in a fashion landscape often dominated by restraint and understatement.
